Tonto, Bush's credibility is at a all time low. The press did not do that to him. He did so because of his actions. The WMD was a lie. Then Paul Oneill, his ally comes out and claims that the plan to attack Iraq was in the works even before 9/11. There is no proof about the link between Iraq and Al Qaeda and that again is a blotch on Bush's credibility.

So people are going to hold Bush accountable for the failures and they have already started to. No one single person or group of persons can come on in the press and defend Bush. Their opinion would not fly in what the majority of the people think and who would be the actual voters expressing their opinion.

It is Bush who can shape the people's opinion by performing well on the job. The guys who write these news items would remain unsuccessful in achieving that goal.
