Jake, I am seeing the impact of outsourcing in my neighborhood and my backyard. The Silicon valley was swarming with software programmers, hardware engineers etc. Many were H1Bs while the middle level and senoir level managemnt were US residents. Those H1Bs came here, paid their taxes here, the State budget flourished, public education flourished since they got their funding from a surplus State budget etc. etc.

Then comes these bright ideas from Corporations. They send those H1Bs back. Takes their jobs to their countries. They don't par taxes into our system any more. Sate Govt. runs up huge deficits. Education suffers.

I guess you get my drift. Baloney that outsourcing has been going on for years.

actually, it has grown since 2000, but has been going on in manufacturing for decades.

tonto, Funny how some people try to spin the outsourcing trend into a phenomenon that just began in the year 2000.
