Watch: 10:05 ET Nasdaq Composite slips below 50 day avg (COMPX) 2036 -9.40: -- Technical -- Minor early strength quickly dissipated with the index slipping below its 50 day simple mov avg (2039). It held above support at the 2028/2025 (congestion area) and bounced but has thus far been unable to stabilize back above the average. Failure to hold above this level and breach next resistance in the 2049/2052 zone leaves it vulnerable. Secondary support is at 2022/2020 (congestion) followed by the Feb low of 2012.
