Nemer and everyone else, Thanks! I am going through and methodically cleansing my system. Ran virus scan and found two trojans and 43 adware files. Pretty much going to do everything else suggested. My main goal is to remove the things that are providing the backdoor for the popups, rather than blocking them as they hit. Fortunately, I have a couple of computers running, so I am able to work around the problem for now (though it is my favorite computer that is infected) dammit! just rebooted and a popup came up when I loaded IE....grrrrr...... next time I'm heading off to LV, I'll let you know. Missed the last SI gettogether there earlier this month. Haven't talked to paddy in a few months.....
