Sounds like Dr Id. What else can you expect of someone who teaches at UCLA?

Liberal, of course, means "pertaining to free." In America, it has come to mean the opposite.

Europe still uses the original meaning. And "Liberal" is very popular in the former Soviet Satellites. But not in Socialist "old Europe."
