Amazing how bearish the investment world has turned on semis and SCEs!

All I hear from the media and the financial press is how Bullish everyone is on the sector!

We've gone from "irrational exuberance" last year to "irrational depression" this year - but whoever said the market was ever a rational place to be?:)

Mike,
The end 02 bottom was an extreme bottom--the bust being every bit as extreme as the bubble that preceded it. This bottom essentially is saying the recovery is over and that in six months earnings will start trending down for the group. As you say vbg. I watched amat ceo on cnbc. I very rarely do that. When he mentioned the work they are doing in hi def tv area and knowing that as prices fall the demand for this will skyrocket expecially with a govt requirment in place for 2006. I am personally convinced that all tvs sold and being sold in the US are going to crap out.
Then i hear analysts talk about intel capex disappointing but i remember several years ago how intel grew capex to get the leg up they have now. Well what do the wannabees and fabs et al do now to compete?? Duh.
So mike tell me if i am nuts or that our stocks at these prices and probably trending a little lower are great buys. The first double was from an artificial extreme low and the second double is from another artificial low being set up by the momo guys. Mike
