Since you're consistently ignorant around here, why don't you look it up yourself? Maybe you'll learn something. Even the Russians set their serfs free before we abolished slavery and it had been long gone in Europe. And everyone else gave it up without much of a fight. Not us we had to fight our bloodiest war ever to end slavery. (Oh, and i'm talking about the first world, i'm sure you can find many third world examples of slavery after our civil war.)
