re: "... list of favorite sites [grew] out of control."

Ken,
.
I'am sure many of us have experienced this problem,
as I know I have, and "lived with it" to the point that
my collection of favorites is a total mess and useless.
.
I use browser Opera rather than Netscape.
.
My favorites are stored in a seperate location that I open
using a Ctrl-F2 key stroke, but the management tools
that are available suck really bad in this very old version
and I hope once I leave Windows 3.1 that the latest Opera
is constructed much more user friendly.
.
Maybe some folks here using Google can locate some
freeware or shareware programs that work with Netscape
and IE that allow you to click into a list of saved URLs
that can be clicked into just like you do now, but include
a better method to describe what each URL is for,
and just maybe be able to group them into categories
so that you can view a subset rather than them all.
.
Actually I must correct what I said above, as my Opera
does allow me to do that, but the help file to explain it
and serve as instructions are what sucks, so I never
took the time to figure it out. My bad.
.
ok, its time for gotmilkHelp
... sorry thecow :o)
.
On iHub (InvestorsHub.com) Sheriff Matt has allowed
me and Derfie to create a "private" (aka single user) board
to store posts, not pictures or music or big stuff.
.
I have used this to gather my favorite URLs into a post
so that I can edit them and try and figure out what I have.
.
Eventually I'll delete duplicates and ones not wanted,
then group the remaining into similiar topics.
.
Once I locate a freeware or shareware program
that will manage them, and work inside my brower,
and allow me to move them in using a Copy & Paste
from a post where I put the final copy, then all will be well.
.
As an example, this is where I collected my favorites
into a single iHub post. Please note that each time
I added new URLs I appended them to this post
as a Reply, and this allowed me to view them all at once.
I needed not be careful about duplicates or actually knowing
for sure if the URL was a good saved favorite since this
method was just a collection activity.

Whats nice here is that I can include a short description
of what each URL does, most times a simple Copy & Paste
of the top sentence of the web page if gone there.
.
Also nice is that I can actually use the posts as a storage
of URLs as if there are favorites since I can click on them
