Quit saying Kerry slandered servicemen. You should read his testimony. It is just the opposite of what you are claiming. He was sticking up the the soldiers by telling the country that due to coverups and immoral leadership our troops were in a living hell that was driving them crazy. Until Kerry's testimony people were generally not aware of how savage it had gotten in Nam by 1970. Everything Kerry said was true, though it was no a criticism of the troops, it was a criticism of the war itself. Kerry's own unit had to kill teenagers. It was what they had to do. Kerry was revealing the pain and horror of that to the country? WOuld he have been more of a patriot to censor this? I think not. His testimony helped end the war earlier and saved thousands of lives. Most thinking people realize this.

Kerry was much more of a war hero than JFK. JFK's PT-109 adventure was hyped. He got run over by a Japanese destroyer. He won no battles at all.
