No, my logic is fine. You're wrong when you state that a primary component of marriage is having children. It is not. I listed a couple of non-homosexual instances where it was not. Using your logic, to exclude gays from marriage because they lack the ability to procreate should mean that these other couples should also be prevented from engaging in marriage. Equal protection.

By the way, even that 'logic' of procreation is off kilter. Homosexual couples DO have children, sometimes adopted, sometimes the biological offspring of one of the partners (sometimes both, with surrogates, of course).
