"You become very concerned for democracy when you realize people are so angry, they're desperately trying to find anything to tilt the direction of what people are thinking,''

Funny, that's just how I feel about moveon.org, George Soros, Larry Flynt, at al. But it's all part of the grand American tradition, I guess. Look at all the historical presidential elections where one candidate or another was accused of fathering illegitimate children and the like. Jefferson was both victim and victimizer of campaign smears. Jackson was alleged to not actually be married to his wife. Buchanan was said to be gay. Remember "ma, ma, where's my pa? Gone to the White House, ha ha ha." (Grover Cleveland.)

It's so common we even have a name for it: "October surprise."

More on Ken Light's doctored photo (shades of Segretti):... very concerned for democracy when you realize people are so angry, they're desperately trying to find anything to tilt...

Too bad that the advanced, avant-garde, big, broad, broad-minded, Catholic, enlightened, flexible, free, general, high-minded, humanistic, Humanitarian, impartial, intelligent, interested, lenient, magnanimous, Rational, reasonable, receiving, receptive, reformist, tolerant, Unbiased, unbigoted, understanding, unorthodox, and unprejudiced few fail to make the same observation when the perpetrator is someone like Michael More.
