who cares? We've been in a "solid uptrend" for months. Harping on these meaningless statistics just makes the Bush people look more out of touch than they already are. We've had the highest GDP in over 20 years and we've created 366K jobs in the past 6 mos, about half of what we need to to deal with population growth. Median wage is down, tax receipts are getting lower by the month. I'm glad Mankiw has his trusty "leading indicators" to rely on.

Many of these statistics need to be reworked with this globalization for one thing. GDP for example is wrong, and productivity is wrong. Who knows what else is wrong.
