It's against the Geneva Convention not to stop it. Under the Laws of that Convention, Kerry should of been charged as a War Criminal

Taken out of context, this sounds like Kerry was criticizing his fellow soldiers, when in fact it was the opposite, he was criticizing the leaders and the war itself which was doing this to the soldiers, driving them nuts.

Of course the RNC wuill take this out of context as much as possible, thereby making the Vietnam War and John Kerry's service in it an even bigger issue. It will take awhile for people to understand, but they finally will, that John was trying to help his fellow soldiers get the hell out of there. Once people understand that Bushies will look like apologizers for wrong-headed wars based on lies. In other words, Iraq. So this will all backfire in the end.

Speaking of nuts, Dean's former union organizer calls him a nut now. Just saw than on CNN.

BobP,

What is your point? Slandering Kerry seems to be what you are up to.

Why not attack a real enemy of the truth? Major Colin Powell, of the Americal Division, was instrumental in suppressing the investigations into the My Lai Massacres. In fact, Powell proved so adept at deflecting media and Congressional attention from the atrocities being committed by the Americal Division that he was rapidly promoted.

Which doesn't speak well of our military, now does it. But this is a fact that the American people need to begin to understand. The military is not a benign force, attempting to "protect our liberty and freedom". Hardly. It is a killing machine that engages in the most brutal assaults for the sake of corporate interests. And handmaidens of the process like Colin Powell have done extremely well for themselves by being part of a propaganda machine to hide the real nature of the war machine from an unsuspecting and naive American public.

John Kerry is to be praised and commended for the courage he showed before the Senate in his speech in 1971.

And the snake-in-the-grass Colin Powell should equally be condemned for the role he played in lying to the American public about the real nature of the war machine's involvement in aiding war profiteers like Brown & Root, Lockheed and the others in Viet Nam, while ruthlessly slaughtering 3.4 Million Vietnamese citizens who represented absolutely no threat whatsoever to the American public.

The Viet Nam War was a shameful case of excess and criminality on the part of the elites who control America.

John Kerry deserves high praise for exposing their moral turpitude.
