Well it's just an idea, can't say if it's really feasible. Ultimately we should raise taxes in the most economically efficient way and then redistribute if that's inherently unfair.

At any rate, i'd think what ever system we had (consumption, income, VAT, wealth) people should end up paying taxes in approximate proportion to their wealth.
