Last weekend we has Bush in town, tonight it's Chaney (messing with traffic with their motorcades). I think somebody has figured out that Florida is the key to winning and the Tampa Bay area is a perfect split Rep/Dem (as is most of the rest of the I4 corridor).

We're going to lousy with candidates for the next 9 months.

John,

Whenever Bush or Cheney come to WA state, they literally bypass liberal Seattle and go straight to conservative Bellevue. Last summer when Bush came for a visit, the closest he got to Seattle was when AF 1 made its final approach into the airport.

I was sitting in a park when suddenly the skies cleared of planes and then this huge shadow aka Independence Day splayed over the park. I looked up and it was AF 1....impossibly white and so very close. I'm sure Bush must have started to sweat when he realized how close he was to a liberal outpost.

WA state has been a major disappointment for him. Not only did he not raise as much $$$ as he had hoped but the rising star in the state's GOP party turned down his request to run for the Marie Cantwell Senate seat in 2006 [Dunn is currently in the House]. Then last month she announced she would not run again for her seat in the House when her current term is up. This is a real stressor for Bush and the national GOP because there are only ten Republicans in the entire State and 5 of them are under the age of 21. LOL!
