I just kind of scanned your post but as I understand it, the average ROI for a drug company is around 90%. This includes R&D as well as advertising which is in many cases more than the R&D. There is a great argument to the US subsidizing the rest of the globe when it comes to medicines but nobody has made it yet. It has nothing to do with the FDA, efficacy or importation legality. I'd be more than happy to share it with the drug lobby for 1 million dollars. It would save them tons of money and time in Washington because it would make sense to every American and would justify the cost of medicine to most people.
