<<Didn't you accuse me of being dumb, and feeling sorry for rich people? I know you called me dumb, and pretty sure of the latter>>

Maybe if you were smarter you'd know who you were talking to and what they had said?

Look you've said over and over that the top 1% pay 36% of the income taxes. You also say they earn 43% of the income. That's regressive right there, end of story. You won't own up to it or discuss it. Maybe you don't understand it, maybe you're being dishonest, or maybe you're a coward and think you can walk away from this problem in your own numbers by changing the subject.

It doesn't matter to me, but there's nothing more i can do if you won't even take responsibility for your own figures and what they mean.

As for what i'd favor, i've told you several times. I think a person's total federal tax bill should be proportionate to the percent of the nation's wealth they own.

And in economic good times we should be taking in at least as much as we spend because it makes good sense to run deficits during bad times.

The President's 2005 budget is $2.4 trillion. So we need to raise that amount in taxes in 2005. The wealthiest 20% of Americans who own 84% of the wealth need to come up with 84% of that $2.4 trillion, the next 20% who own 11% of the wealth should be liable for 11% of the budget, and so on down the line.
