I don't mind the alphabetizing, but oftentimes people start a thread and pick a category to make a point or a joke... i.e., putting the John Kerry Campaign Song thread in Food Processing (since it is being backed by the Heinz heiress) or putting the My House thread in Healthcare Facilities (which was a brief topic of discussion and joking around at the time). Most of those categories have few if any active threads anyway. I noticed you moved them a few days ago and wondered why and when.

If your goal is to make this a serious stock discussion site and deprive us of our frivolous laughs, I guess there's not much we can do about it.

I do approve of management's newfound willingness to use the suspension power to improve the signal to noise ratio overall. I also like the idea of making all thread titles, not just recently active ones, searchable. It's been a pain to find old threads without that.
