Thanks for the info.

My parents are covered by Medicare, though I don't talk to them too much about their insurance.

My grandparents died quickly with little health problems till their deaths (except for a grandmother who died young - under 65). The second wife of my grandfather was in a nursing home for some years before she died. But my grandfather had enough savings it was paid for from that with no problem.
