<They Call themselves republicans, actually.>

You meant Republicans, right?

I wish it was only Republicans who were ProWar. I wish the Democrats were clearly ProPeace. If they were, then Americans would have a clear choice of who to vote into power.

But, unfortunately, we have a choice between virulently pro-war Republicans, and timidly pro-war Democrats. There is no peace party in America.

Kerry is an excellent example of this. Pre-war, he voted for Bush's war authorization. He credulously accepted all Bush's lies before the war. Post-war, he has voted for all the funding Bush has asked for. Like Bush, he wants to stay in Iraq till "the job is done".

The only reason for the Peace Party to prefer Kerry over Bush, is that Kerry's ego and political capital are less invested in Iraq, so it'll be easier for him to cut and run. But, even here, the difference isn't much. Bush has already figured out he can't hold the populated areas of Iraq, and is withdrawing our troops from the cities. Bush has figured out, that the only way to reduce American casualties, is to reduce our footprint.
