a Bad Sign
Bill,
My republican accountant yesterday was talking about protectionism and govt intervention to prevent jobs leaving and/or promote american jobs. He says that here in NJ, he sees folks suffering. He talks of his sister in law who worked for ATT and her unit was sold to IBM and now 90% of positions are going to india. He asks where will the new jobs come from and uses the burger flipper argument and says his review of stats show thats is where the current job growth is. Last year he was 100% pro-war and 100% pro tax cut and saw none of this. mike

By neoisolationism I mean global capitalism, cultural minding of our own business, and military restraint.

That was my position until 911. Then I went Neocon. And I have learned never to trust my thinking when I first wake up in the morning. :>)
