That's so true. Kennedy does Kerry more harm than good. It's almost as bad as an Al Gore endorsement.
Kerry is wimping out of Edward's challenge:

Kerry tells Edwards:
One debate's plenty

By THOMAS M. DeFRANK
DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU CHIEF

WASHINGTON - John Edwards wants four debates with John Kerry before Super Tuesday, but the front-runner's camp had a New York brush-off for him yesterday: Fuhgeddaboudit.
In a "Dear Sen. Kerry" letter, Edwards dressed up a classic underdog's ploy by arguing that more debates - including one in New York - would give the eventual Democratic nominee more national air time to bash President Bush.

"The American people deserve to know who we are, where we're from, and where we stand on the issues," Edwards wrote.

He agreed to Kerry's insistence that the third-tier campaigns of Al Sharpton and Dennis Kucinich be included in any debates. "I ask that we also give people in places like New York and Ohio the chance to see where we stand on the issues," Edwards said.

But Kerry's handlers said the Massachusetts senator will not agree to more debates beyond the one scheduled for Thursday in Los Angeles.
