I don't know what you mean by 'support'. Do you mean financial support of gay marriages; i.e. tax and other benefits afforded to married people?

There are plenty of instances of people having to support something they don't agree with, find wrong, or even repugnant, or otherwise would not contribute funds to willingly. Atheists support churches. Childless couples support day care centers. Those who are well off support welfare. Parents who send their kids to private school support public schools. Religious people support programs that are contrary to their teachings.

Personally, I support the local transit system that is an unholy mess, including a light rail system that is a miserable failure. I support a city that spends all its money on a going-nowhere downtown, while the neighborhoods and street suffer.

There are a lot of instances of supporting programs, institutes, and ideals that are not to our liking. Get used to it. I certainly will not block your attempts to stop the gov from supporting gay marriage. That's your right. But remember: This is America - land of the taxed and home of the pork barrel.
