The "war president" who will "never change" and his ads about changing times: Bush's TV ads to start positive, turn to negative
Associated Press
WASHINGTON -- President Bush's television ad campaign will begin with the positive, focusing on the Republican incumbent's leadership, before turning negative as the re-election team focuses on John Kerry's decades-long record of public service.

The campaign plans to unveil its television commercials after Democrats settle on a nominee.

The first ads will focus on Bush's "steady leadership in changing and dangerous times," said Terry Holt, spokesman for the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign

I doubt that 48% materializes in the elections. Look at the Kentucky interim congressional race last week. It was supposed to be close too, instead the candidate that Bush was "personally endorsing" lost in a landslide. I doubt very seriously Bush can take the carolinas in 04, for one thing.
