No I think that you are the one who is just stupid. Because the sanctity of marriage is a religious concept.

You are the one that wants to force things. States don't sanctify a marriage any more than they sanctify fishing licenses.

Well then that comes to me as a relief. I will remember this when I decide pointedly to disallow the "spouses" of my homosexual employees to my next business/social gathering (I have had to do this by the way). I will remember it when I deny health benefits to these "spouses" and when I properly avoid homosexuals in a host of other ways.

What the state does do is establish certain rights. Your statement implies rights are only the result of of some theology. You can't seem to accept that freedom in this nation is distinct from religion.

Abortion is a bad thing. But I don't want it illegal because the rationale for outlawing it is that it essentially murder. Yet no one I've read seems to want to prosecute women as murderers because they have had abortions. There are other rights involved. Stop trying to make this nation into something like a religious fundamentalist government- a christian version of the Taliban. Its not what we are all about.

Oh btw if anal sex between a man and a woman doesn't bother you but it does when it happens between two men then I agree with others that think you have some serious psychiatric issues to deal with.
