Germany's Economic Suicide A decent account of Schröder's struggling - except the last sentence: The world might see within the next three years how a once prosperous country commits economic suicide. Why suicide? First, Germany was export world champion in 2003. We exported more in absolute terms than your nation of he-men (the per capita result is even better) :) Second, the SPD has become a serial election loser. I doubt that the red-green government will survive the 2006 national election. Possibly there will even be a preterm Bundestag election.
