Do you suppose he uses solar or wind power for the unit? Or maybe he runs it off batteries from his Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, eh? :) Stories, nothing but stories: As the Times winks: "The Sunday Express, known for its sometimes colourful scoops,....."sundaytimes.news.com.au theaustralian.news.com.au hindustantimes.com japantoday.com Peculiarly, no U.S. outlets have picked up the story yet. Maybe they are just not as gullible as these others? <gg> *** I rather liked this response from a reader of the Japan Today article: Treat the cause, not the symptom. alankyoto (Feb 22 2004 - 21:56) Will catching Bin Laden or anyone else in this stupid 'War on Terror'(the effect)get us any closer in winning the 'War on Poverty and injustice'? (the cause) Not likely. If the corporate controlled media in the western democracies were ever to let us see (and really inform us) about the actualities of the desperate suffering which forces those from under-developed nations to(by whatever means possible)try to improve their lots, we may begin to understand how important it is that, instead of allowing the corporate military to rob us of our taxes to bomb them into submission, we be supporting moves by our 'representative governments'and NGO's to work on alleviating and removing the causes. Debt relief/ establishment of sustainable infrastructures/ access to health care/ vernacular education/justice/water/ housing/land etc etc etc.... Alternatively (and unfortunately for everyone, more likely), we are just going to have to become more inured to getting more of what,in the end, we deserve. The symptoms will persist if the causes are not treated. Bin Laden is only one man,it would be a mistake to assume that his removal from the picture will solve everyone's problems.
