Is MSFT really a bellwether for the economy? I see GE as being one. Very diverse and slow moving. It is stable. MSFT, i don't see as a bellwether, just a giant in software and application.

The reason you don't see NEW highs with them, is more likely due to limited growth opportunity. Without growth opportunity they must catch up to their PEs.

Well msft and ge two bell weathers of the economy don't seem to be approaching new highs in the market. Maybe investors don't agree that this recovery is as strong as you think.

even after several down days in the market.
