>>"Teresa has First Amendment rights to speak on issues just like anyone else, and she reserves her right to do that," Jeffrey R. Lewis, her chief of staff, said in an interview. "However, how and when and if she chooses to do that depends on future events and on the advice of her counsel."

"All she has said is that in the event she is attacked, the family is attacked, and it is an issue of family honor, she would defend herself and she would defend her family," another Heinz aide said.<<

Teresa Heinz' vast fortune is the primary reason Democrat DC insiders are fervently pushing Kerry & diligently trying to squash Edwards campaign. Tragically, American presidential campaigns are determined by the size of a candidate's warchest. That's also the reason we end up with puppet-like bozos instead of competent men of integrity like John Edwards. Campaign finance reform & term limits would clean up the corruption. Lack of both is the reason DC lobbyists have stolen the gov away from avg citizens. It's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get the incumbents to take action. Personal ambition & lust for power always trump doing the right thing.
