Indeed. You have described a large part of the problem. I have eight sons, at least one of whom is of military age, several of whom will be there shortly. Should the country call upon them for its defense, it would expect them to possibly die in defense of a land that forces them to accept that which is utterly contrary to their most fundamental identity. We need to know what America is, because if it is truly your America (and I suspect it is), then obviously we should never risk defending her. It is worth it for us to abandon her to protect ourselves from ever having to risk all for a country that is against what we most fundamentally are. As you so ably point out, we obviously would not be fighting for freedom. We obviously would not be fighting for our way of life. We obviously would not be fighting for the right to shape the nature of the country - for democracy. Leftists and their courts have now taken all of this-- and in our face. We wish to know if America, the alleged "Land of the Free," is dead, or merely sick and asleep. An opportunity to directly face a Constitutional Amendment on this issue would answer that question.
