There were many who used common sense that the terrorists would not attack the US prior to 9/11. I don't understand what common sense is after the 9/11 attack. By the way, what would be your common sense if a thief entered your house and burglarized it. Don't you check out your door and window latches. Is it not a common sense at that time to believe that the burglar is on the prowl around the house and could strike again. If your answer is no then it is not of any value to disucss this issue any further. We could move onto the next one I suppose.
