Bush is all tied up trying to explain the WMD fiasco. He was talking about it on his weekly radio address.

If the administration had been honest about it, and simply stated that for strategic purposes it is important for us to have substantial, permanent military bases in Iraq, things would have gone much better for him.

But nooooooooo ... he had to go with the WMD deus ex machina, and who would have guessed, I would have given you 10-1 odds against it ... there are no WMDs.

Amazing.

Yes, the tide is changing. I sense no groundswell for Kerry or Edwards, nothing that will challenge Bush/Rice. Nader's entry will be a distraction for a while but I doubt he will be a factor come November. It will be close.
