There was a meeting among Diebold and voting machine makers a few months ago, where the committee member from Lockheed was involved in planning the public campaign for acceptance of E-voting machines.

This was reported by a newspaper editor in the midwest, and Bev Harris, whose site is here blackboxvoting.com

The issue becomes one of, "why is the largest defense contractor promoting e-voting?", like the Diebold / GOP leader vowing to "deliver the votes for Bush". It starts to look like the military/corporate complex likes e-voting a bit too much. It's a little too direct -- i.e., control the election, to control the military budget, and increase profits.

We all suspect that sort of lobbyist connection in a roundabout way. But when the connection from such a technology company is directly tied to the untraceable/unauditable fraud-prone voting machines it raises a few questions.
