If Edwards goes toe-to-toe with Kerry, I seriously doubt Kerry would chose him. Besides, Edwards could (it's a possibility...) end up beating Kerry...

Possibly Edwards will be a great Pres in 2008 if not 2004; however, if John Kerry is the Dem nominee this yr--Bush wins re-election.
The swing voters determine elections....not life-time Repubs or Dems. Moderate Repubs won't vote for Kerry, they would vote for Edwards.
