First of all I have mentioned here before that I am against many of the social programs Bush is supporting as I am a fiscal conservative with some Christian principles.

Right now there is no Republican in leadership who has really came out against any of GW's proposals on social issues. Back when Willy was in office Newt took a leadership role preventing that to happen.

I don't look at Bush as any total disaster as its refreshing to see someone actually stand up for whats right.

The war in Iraq was a matter of time so you can say we didn't have to go in however with the growing terrorism in that region Iraq was prime land to plot against our country. I would much rather fight them over there than in this country. I also see that if Iraq can create any kind of democratic government it will show other countries in that region what can be accomplished. No one said it will easy with all of the different factions of tribes in that country. Whether you like it or not we have to keep that area stable as we are very dependent on oil as if we would
get shut off our country would be in big trouble based on current useages.

Socialist governements don't have a strong national defense
as too much of the GDP goes for entitlement programs. Willy
had cut too much funding out of defense is one of the reasons he was able to get the deficit down as well as Newt
blocking Hillarys universal health care iniatives.

So yes I feel safer with Bush running the show over any liberal Democrat as he will make sure that the military gets what they need to get the job done.

By the way what do you consider extreme relious right as I want to get your list.

You got me wrong...

This is the crux of the problem in trying to have a discussion with these people who, if they even sense you are trying to think for yourself, will go on the offensive and begin the name-calling.

For some odd reason, they do not tolerate any dissenting thought. I guess you could call them the thought-police, tp for short.
