To this day, some information about the Civil War is still classified. As is a large portion of the National Security Act of 1947, which created the Department of Defense and the C.I.A. as well as the NSA. There are some state secrets we will likely never know.

I did get a kick out finding that Richard Nixon was caught on tape calling the JFK assassination invesigation (aka the Warren Commission) "the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American public." news.bbc.co.uk

It sure looks like Bush and Cheney really had a hard on to top that one.
