I vote for letting you write the s/w. You really should apply for a government grant/contract! There have been reports about machines that are actually wrong. There was a Republican who lost fairly recently but I can't remember where that was. It's not even that one side loses or the other does, the faults is in the machine itself. You're right though it needs a paper trail....bring back those hanging chaddies! Ooops, they've never actually disappeared. Obviously the Florida fiasco was partly to waste more money with these big contractors.
