Bush raises more from lobbyists in 10 minutes than Kerry has his entire 20 year career. Because Kerry refused PAC and soft money, the only way lobbyists could even meet him was to come to his fundraisers and contribute as individuals. That's why he has so many lobbyists giving small amounts, precisely because he is so clean. The lobbyists will come after you no matter what you do, even as individuals. Bush-Cheney on the other hand took more soft money from corporate interests than all candidates in history. Sometimes several million in one hour. Kerry's total is 600 K over 20 years. No comparison. Kerry can fight special interest money with a clean conscience.
