Well, you should talk! You actually think that if sex in marriage loses its relevance, that it is a good thing. I mean, dang! Here we are in nature, trapped away from one another in separate bodies, and you think it is good when joining those bodies in profound intimacy (even reflecting the very nature of your own essential identity) loses its relevance.

It is like saying "when integrating the physical and emotional (and even spirit if you can, which you can't) loses its relevance in a marriage, then you are truly married."

It is like saying "when you stop reaching for one another using all that we have, including the mind, soul and body, then you are truely married."

It is like saying "when you are no longer married, then you are married."

That is pretty friggin' pathetic, much moreso than merely humping a tree. I'm not kidding, dude. What a dimensionless life you must lead. And I don't even want to think about the condition of your poor wife.
