he is way way off, dealing with 7-yrold info
production of tar sands oil is now costing under $9/bbl
it comes down every year from advancing the techniques
they are working now with twin level horizontal methods
upper horiz pipes deliver pressured steam
lower horiz pipes catch the heavy hydrocarbons
the steam reduces the size of the very large molecules
something like 200 carbon elements per large molecule
heavy tar has largest count on any hydrocarbon on earth
I am real proud of Stanford Univ engineers
they did great work

great source of technial info is Myers of Canada
he runs a letter called "Outstanding Investments"
the guy is topnotch, on top of all developments
he raved about Suncor back in 2002
