It's relatively big for pools. Around here, my WAG is 1 in 10 pools. You don't use it in the summer unless you like you pool at 110+ degrees.

They have some nifty sensor and valve system. On one you can press a button and the solar reverts entirely to you spa, so that the only water circulating through the solar is the spa water. It will heat a spa to 100+ in less than an hour (daytime only of course).

Heating the pool with gas or electric is really expensive and a waste, as you lose almost all the benefit the following night. I have a gas heater for the spa, and even that seems wasteful.

Beleive me, I not claiming great environmental credentials because I have solar pool panels. It's just a good way to extend the season when you can use the pool.
