And didn't it turn out that those were not his purple hearts he tossed over the fence but someone else's? I hear he is now proudly displaying them in his office.

After leaving the Navy early, he ran for office as a heroic Vietnam Veteran and lost decisively. He then realized anti-war was better, and changed his tactics to the scum bum he is now.
