Every Monday the Wash Post reports on passenger totals at National, Dulles and Baltimore/Washington airports. Today's report, expressed in millions.....

Do you have the national numbers? I think your area is pumped due to defense or federal spending. The bay area airports used to be behives of activity and now its a ghost town. These were business travellers to Japan and asia, very lucrative for the airlines, gone.

I think the only thing retarding the airlines after 9/11 was fear of being blown to flinders coupled with the generally miserable experience of air travel, to which was added extra hassle with increased security. I flew last week, and the flight was full. I think we're all over that now.
