Right!

I pay about $60-120 per month for electricity now, my entire house uses only electricity - so I spend about $1000-1200 per year - an alternative would have to be cheaper or nearly equivalent to that figure before I'd do anything to change. I already spent a lot of extra money insulating the thing way past code.

Now the bulb changing idea would have merit if I can reduce my usage by even 10-20% per year, saving roughly $100-200 per year makes a lot of sense.
