Back to Robertson. I know why he's trying to say what he is saying, and it all revolves around God somehow rewarding Bush for his faith. I'm not sure God works that way, either, since I could point to another man of strong faith, Jimmy Carter, and how he wasn't rewarded with a 2nd term in office. But in any case, God is above partisanship and mere tit-for-tat rewards, and I don't think Pat Robertson correctly conveyed this notion. Instead, he comes across as another opportunistic televangelist, which is unwise to say the least.

Tenchusatsu, glad to hear you say that. The real gifts are not about winning at blackjack or calling an election but what you learned when things went wrong.
