Never has science adapted to accommodate scriptural interpretation, whereas scriptural interpretation is often changed to accommodate science. Even the Pope now concedes the theory of evolution. He says it can account for our physical being but not our spiritual being, not our soul. That God gives us. But it wasn't so long ago that the soul was thought to be matter within us. When science disproved that notion the soul evolved and became immaterial. Science wins every time. Steve Dietrich
