It's awful to think about. It's right up there with sending home a planeload of Saudis after 9/11, before the FBI or CIA could interrogate them.

And as I recall, the summer before 9/11 an FBI agent warned headquarters about suspicious ME students in flight schools. Very distressing.

And wasn't Clinton offered Osama by the Sudanese, and didn't he decline the offer?

In fairness, it does have to be said that he became increasingly alarmed about Islamic terrorism, and left a major report on the growing danger for GWB. I don't know what the Bush admin did with the report.
