Thought we might have something in common there!!!

It is already shaping up to be a very interesting year.

Here in AK some conservatives are pissed at our conservative governor ex Senator Frank Murkowski. Frank campaigned and won easily on some major premises:

a) Protection of the AK PFD (dividend fund).

b) No new taxes, fiscal austerity instead.

c) Growth in production of natural resources. He even went so far as to predict that a well being drilled by Encana as I recall was going to usher in a new Prudhoe type field. Well was plugged and abandoned I believe.

His Dem opponent said Frank was full of BS, we have real money problems here. She lost bigtime.

Well, Frankie has now went back on his word and is eyeballing the PFD. So I believe a petition to recall Frank is being bantered about .... just in the early stages and I doubt it gets there. Be a lot more to come.

Jay Hammond, ex governor, says we should protect our dividend to the limit, and that they should also start won for Irag. His position is that otherwise, the governments just spend all the loot, and leave nothing behind. I tend to agree with Jay.

Interesting to say the least, from a politics point of view.
