It is amazing today that those who call themselves liberals advocate such regressive and totally Christophobic ideals and aspirations. The dems party is built on an intolerance of any Christian basic family values. Tolerance of dissenting views does not exist. The dem party, it's chosen leaders are just about calling other's liars.

Johannes, So, inerrancy means some mistakes allowed.

Nope. It means mistakes do not exist in the Inspired Word of God, the Autographa. It does not consider copies of the Inspired Word to be themselves inspired. Nevertheless it acknowledges that due to textual witnesses, criticism and faith, we have the highest degree of certainty possible in nature of the accuracy even of these ancient copies. You are trying to apply a standard of precision to copies of copies that cannot be (and need not be) maintained even today.

It's nice of you wingnuts to redefine the English language for those of us who are fundamentalists about words.

You may yet remain a fundamentalist about words. But you clearly are unable to judge me when you support utter filth and godlessness. You are even less of a judge of the Scriptures. The Scriptures are clear that those who judge others as corrupt and yet support utter corruption themselves, are confirmed in corruption and have no excuse.

Christians do not maintain that the copies of the Scriptures are magically perfect in every way. The physical Bible is not magic (dear me). God never claimed that when a copyist makes a copy, that that copyist would never accidentally smudge a “t” or forget to dot an “i.” God instead maintains that not one jot or tittle of His Own inspired Word is untrue. Christians therefore believe this, trusting that God has told us the truth. God is credible.

So then, we might confidently take textual witnesses and confirm the content of the originals, precisely as I have shown you in the case of the 2nd Sam text. You can now by no means walk away thinking the Bible is not absolutely clear on who killed Goliath. That is inerrancy.

<g> Of course The Bible has minor errors and inconsistencies.

It does not. Copies of the Bible undoubtedly have these, even today’s Bibles are being printed with mistakes because machines sometimes malfunction. These mistakes are nevertheless all resolvable. Where we have not enough information, in no case does a valid contradiction exist. We simply have not enough information to render a firm deductive determination on the text. But since Christians know God is credible, we trust on faith that His originals are perfect.

That doesn't negate it's overwhelming message, especially in the New Testament, of liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking.

Ah yes, leftist lies. You undoubtedly mean New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking like this:

for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you… (1 Thess. 4:2-6)

Or New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking like this:

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thess 2:9-12)

Or New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking like this:

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
(1 Thess. 5:1-3)

Or New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking like this:

you who are troubled will rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. (2 Thess 2:7-10)

Or New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking like this:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, *unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." (Rom. 1:18-32)

So much New Testament liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking! In truth, leftists are now increasingly cursed with debased minds and are becoming ever more hopeless. It is clear that the most prudent course left to me is found in this little bit of New Testament, liberal, progressive, revolutionary thinking:

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
(2 Timothy 3:1-5)
