Kerry's war story is here. boston.com The Globe did the most in-depth research on the subject. Kerry's Navy records would be with the Navy. I'm sure Rumsfeld has had them pulled and looked over. But they are the last thing Bushies would want anyone to see, as compared to the missing Bush AWOL records. Yes, of course, Kery's wounds were minor. But bullets and shrapnel can kill in many ways. Kerry was just lucky he wasn't maimed or KIA like so many of his brothers. The GOP also attacked the patriotism of Max Cleland who had three limbs blown off so what difference does it make to them? They questioned McCain's patriotism as well, saying he'd been brainwashed by the VC. The chickenhawk Bushies love to criticize our war heros yet they themseves deliberately stayed far away from war. Not a single rightwing leader ever fought in combat. Yet they attack our vets on a daily basis. Amazing huh?
